Pakistan, GITMO And Then Saudi Arabia

That is the path many detainees at GITMO take, unfortunately Pakistan hasn't been the best judge of character. In fact, one has to question Pakistan's motives for turning so many people over.

(WaPo) For example, in half the cases studied, the detainees were turned over to U.S. forces by Pakistani police or troops in return for financial rewards.
In other cases it was mistaken identity. And as these detainees are released back to their home country, in many cases Saudi Arabia, they are freed within days or weeks of their arrival home.

This article also indirectly continues to show that many roads of terror lead back to Saudi Arabia. The 9/11 hijackers were basically all Saudi, a lot of the detainees are Saudi and many of the major financiers of terror are Saudi. So how is it that Saudi Arabia is our friend in the "war on terror"? And why are we not tougher with them? Oh yeah, oil.
