Veteran Gets Arrested For, Being A Veteran

The squashing of dissent, or silencing of opposition that is going on in this country in out of control. When did the word "peace" become a form of protest?
(Selves and Others)This afternoon, drinking a cup of coffee while sitting in the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center on Chicagos south side, a Veterans Administration cop walked up to me and said, "OK, youve had your 15 minutes, its time to go."It doesn't matter if you fought for this country or not, the only thing that matters is that you don't disagree with "them"! (H/T/ C&L)
"Huh?", I asked intelligently, not quite sure what he was talking about.
"You cant be in here protesting," officer Adkins said, pointing to my Veterans For Peace shirt.
"Well, Im not protesting, Im having a cup of coffee," I returned, thinking that logic would convince Adkins to go back to his earlier duties of guarding against serious terrorists.
Flipping his badge open, he said, "No, not with that shirt. Youre protesting and you have to go."
