No Outrage About This?

Remember the outrage about the Dubai ports deal. We had a debate the lasted all of a couple weeks and then it fell off the radar. So now I see that another foreign entity is buying more American infrastructure. Where is the outrage?

(AFP/Yahoo)An Australian consortium led by Macquarie Bank has agreed to a friendly 1.59 billion US dollar takeover of US utility Duquesne Light Holdings, companies involved in the negotiations said.

Before you say it's Australia and not Dubai, what would happen if we found out an Arab country was buying the electric company for Pittsburgh(587,000 customers)? I ask is there really a difference in the long run? Either way, we are selling off our country to businesses and foreign governments

"We are pleased to have this opportunity to link with this well-established, solidly-run, locally-based utility as Macquarie further expands its infrastructure in the United States," Macquarie Infrastructure Partners chief executive Christopher Leslie said in a statement released in New York overnight.
