Bush Comes To Chicago
I was wondering what that stench in the air was. Wasn't it nice that the most corrupt President of my time celebrated his birthday with the most corrupt Mayor of my time?!? While here in Chicago, the President did a "press conference" today at the Museum of Science and Industry, which is quite ironic when you consider the President doesn't believe in science or know much about industry. During the "press conference" Bush responded to the closing of the unit which was responsible for tracking Bin Laden.
(Reuters/Yahoo)The U.S. commitment to finding bin Laden was questioned after news the CIA had closed its unit overseeing the hunt for him and shifted those responsibilities elsewhere in the spy agency. How does anyone believe that they are really looking for Bin Laden? They cut and run in Afghanistan to go after the propped up Zarqawi and the "Al Qaida in Iraq". As if he had something to do with 9/11.
Bush dismissed that notion. "We got a lot of assets looking for Osama bin Laden," he said at a news conference at the Museum of Science and Industry.
"If we let up the pressure on him, the world's more dangerous," Bush said of bin Laden. "In the short run, we will bring these people to justice. ... In the long run, the way you defeat this enemy is to spread liberty, and that's what you're seeing unfold."So how is leaving Afghanistan and shutting down the unit that tracks Bin Laden keeping the pressure on?
