Iran Tests Torpedo

While going through a series of war games in the Gulf region, Iran has test fired it's second missile in the last week. This one was a torpedo capibale of destroying Navy ships.

(Yahoo/AP)The Iranian-made torpedo — called the "Hoot," or "whale" — has a speed of 223 miles per hour, said Gen. Ali Fadavi, deputy head of the Revolutionary Guards' Navy.

That would make it about three or four times faster than a normal torpedo and as fast as the world's known fastest, the Russian-made VA-111 Shkval, developed in 1995. It was not immediately known if the Hoot was based on the Shkval.
I forget, who was it that has been one of Iran's favorite business partners.........oh yeah, the Russians. Who is the U.S. blaming for leaking intel to the Iraqis prior to the invasion of Iraq? Who is being held up with regards to joining the WTO? And who is holding them up?

I hope Iran isn't to the U.S. what Afghanistan was to the Soviet Union!
