The General Speaks

Wow, where do I begin with this video from one of the morning shows of General Zinni. I don't know how you can watch this video and not feel used and lied to about Iraq. Amongst the many things that General Zinni said that floored me was, how all the planning that was done for 10 years was basically thrown out the window.

Obviously it was smart to plan for Iraq. I am sure they are planning for many different scenarios for other countries right now, but what makes me curious is when were they told after 9/11 to make the planning more serious. With that said, even if we assume that they focused on OBL and Afghanistan and not Iraq right after 9/11, how is it that Rumsfeld failed so badly? Zinni said they were planning for 10 years. Zinni basically said it was incompetence on Rumsfeld not to listen to the generals that has lead the failures in Iraq.
