Removal Of Gas Tax, "Dumbest thing I've heard...."

I could not agree more with Mayor Bloomberg and Senator Obama. Suspending the gas tax is counter productive in almost every way. It is almost as silly an idea as sending a $300 or $600 check to change ones fortunes.

(IHT) "The 30 bucks is not going to change anybody's lifestyle," he said. "The billions of dollars that we would otherwise have in tax revenues can make a big difference as to what kind of a world we leave our children."

Are people that selfish. Are they not bright enough to do the math themselves and realize how little they will be saving? This is nothing more than Washington pols and insiders playing politics as usual. Time for a change!
