What's With Texas?

Why does Texas produce so many anti-science people? Pick your topic and Texas will tell you why the science is wrong and the bible is right. But this one takes the cake, the Chairman of the Texas House Appropriations Committee, Warren Chisum, doesn't believe that the planets revolve around the Sun, but rather the Sun revolves around the Earth. That's right, Mr. Chisum thinks Copernicus was wrong. Where does it stop with these religious nuts?
