Bush Was Against It Before He Was For It

Before the "More Troops in Iraq" tour hits the road tonight, here is a little reminder of what Mr. Steadfast said just 18 months ago. It's a good thing we know where he stands. Today the dartboard reads, "send more troops".

(June 28, 2005) Sending more Americans would undermine our strategy of encouraging Iraqis to take the lead in this fight. And sending more Americans would suggest that we intend to stay forever, when we are, in fact, working for the day when Iraq can defend itself and we can leave.
Once again the President plays politics with our troops. This is nothing more than dog and pony show. And when this doesn't work, and it won't, he can bring the troops home and blame it all on the Dems for not staying the course. Which will probably be right around the time the next elections heat up. And then he and his band of criminals can ride of into the sunset and, like always, have someone else clean up his mess.
