Documentary Says "French Had Bin Laden In Sights"

But they were never given the go sign. First, how could there not be an automatic shot on sight for Bin Laden? And second, if there wasn't, you would have to ask yourself, why not?

The documentary says that the troops could have killed bin Laden in Afghanistan but the order to shoot never came, maybe because it took too long to request.

An anonymous French soldier is quoted as saying: "In 2003 and 2004 we had bin Laden in our sights. The sniper said 'I have bin Laden.'"
With everything we have learned about how this administration has done, I mean not done things, and twisted the truth, would it surprise anyone if Bush Co. wanted Bin Laden kept alive to keep support for their "war on terror"?
