Report Says Iraqi Police Far From Ready

The Center for Strategic and International Studies(CSIS) released a report saying that the Iraqi police were too lightly equipped, filled with deserters and infiltrated by those who support sectarian and religious leaders before nation. The report goes on to say

(UPI)The DOD report "fails to explain that 'trained and equipped' manpower has nothing to do with the numbers of men still in service and effective," Cordesman wrote. "These are two totally different measures of capability, of which only the latter is meaningful."

So when can we really expect them to stand up, at least without us holding them up?
