The War On Stingrays?

Since the death of the Croc Hunter, Steve Irwin, more than the normal amount of dead stingrays are showing up. Are these revenge killings? The USA Today highlights some of the articles on this. It has gotten to the point where Irwin's wife has had to ask people to stop.
