Hey Joe, Where You Going....

So it's official, Ned Lamont has defeated Joe Lieberman. Some are already saying that it is bad news for the Democrats. Some of the Liberal blogs are bringing up a good point, should Harry Reid replace Lieberman on the committees he sits on?

I haven't done much on this because I'm not really sure what to think of it. I do like the idea that Democrats now have to believe that they will be held accountable to their party values. Values that were blurred in the 90's and the first half of this decade. It also shows the reach or power of the liberal blogs. While they didn't necessary win the election for Lamont as much as they lost it for Lieberman, tonight has spawned a real political tool that just two to three years ago was laughed at.

Tonight we also see the end of Cynthia McKinney's hopes to stay in congress.
