Bush Losing Mental Advantage

After 9/11, President Bush was able to get people to believe that Iraq and 9/11 were part of the same story. Only now have the majority of Americans made a distinction between Iraq and the war on terror. This might be the biggest hurdle that Republicans have to overcome in November and in 2008.

There were a lot of people who questioned going into Iraq, but because they were told that Iraq was involved in 9/11 or Iraq was a part of the war on terror, they went along. However, most of us can see that Iraq is a mess and it keeps getting worse. If the premise of the war plan is flawed, then no matter how many troops or $$$ you throw at it, it won't solve the problem. Stay the course doesn't work anymore!
