The Number Of Dead Isn't Decreasing
I have tried not to do too much of this kind of posting because enough people are and there is plenty other to blog about, but I think when it doesn't stop and the numbers are rising, it deserves attention. If we can't stop it under our current policies, don't we need to call an audible?
There have been some debates over at Combat Effective where we have been talking about Darfur and it's relationship to what we are doing, or not doing, in Iraq. The issue of the crimes Saddam had committed against his people and are the Iraqi people as deserving as the people in Darfur. So I am left to ask this, if we are already in Iraq for this purpose, why over three years later is it getting worse and not better?
If it is a matter of not enough troops, why haven't they swallowed their pride and sent in more troops? If it is not number of troops, one can only assume it is leadership. Either way, shouldn't someone other than the Press Secretary, the Chief of Staff, the CID and the director of FEMA be held responsible or replaced?
