Immigration Bill Meets The Senate

Well today Republican senators shelved the immigration bill.

(NY Times)"I think politics got in front of policy on this issue," said Senator Edward Kennedy, Democrat of Massachusetts, who was one of the principal sponsors of the reform legislation.
I agree. How could the Republicans run on this in Nov. if the bill was passed. Unfortunately if Senators like Jeff Sessions have their way, this will never get resolved. This is going to take compromises, but Sen. Sessions is more worried about the political fallout for himself instead of "doing the business of the government."
Senator Jeff Sessions, Republican of Alabama, said the compromise had not involved the people who should have been involved and was still too generous on what he termed "amnesty. "

"This bill is a dead horse, in my view," he said.
So is this Republican lead Congress!
