Democrats Didn't Mess Up Bill

President Bush and the Republicans, it seems, think they have found themselves something to run on in November.

Bush used his weekly radio address to point the finger at Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid for the breakdown on Friday of a Senate compromise plan to reform immigration law and give millions of illegal immigrants a chance for citizenship.
But it is really how you look at it because the far right won't sign anything that doesn't give them exactly what they want. For instance, Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama.
Senator Jeff Sessions, Republican of Alabama, said the compromise had not involved the people who should have been involved and was still too generous on what he termed "amnesty. "

"This bill is a dead horse, in my view," he said.
Is Sen. Sessions saying only people who think like him when he said, "Should have been involved"? Not every issue should brought all the way to the left or to the right. Sometimes you have to compromise.

With that said, no matter what gets passed, people will still come here any way they can. With poverty, corruption, famine and a lack of medicine in many third world countries, is it really hard to imagine why people would risk everything to come to America. America was built on dreams of a better life. People feeling like they could accomplish anything here.

For good or bad, we are a country of immigrants and for all the reasons we get mad at each other and for all the differences we have, we all agree on one thing, this is the greatest country on earth. It's time America's leaders and her citizens start acting like it!
