Courts Rule Warrants Needed
No worries for the police, just say it is legal under the pretense of National Security and our constitution gives you the right. Of course you can just throw out the fourth amendment.
WASHINGTON(AP/MSNBC) - The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that police without a warrant cannot search a home when one resident says to come in but another tells them to go away, and the courtÂ’s new leader complained that the ruling could hamper investigations of domestic abuse.
Of course our new Chief Justice disagrees. What a shock!
Roberts dissents
In his first written dissent, Chief Justice John Roberts said that “the end result is a complete lack of practical guidance for the police in the field, let alone for the lower courts.”
What is that damn fourth Amendment thingy...
"Amendment IV"-The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
