Blagojevich Gets Tough With Pharmacists

IL. Governor Rod Blagojevich has taken another step to crack down on pharmacists who refuse to sell birth control. Not only refuse, but flat out lie about having birth control.

(Chicago Tribune)Blagojevich today said his newest order is aimed at pharmacists who allegedly have lied to women, telling them the contraceptives they sought were not in stock.

In addition, the state agency that regulates pharmacies filed a formal complaint today against a Downstate pharmacist who in January allegedly tried to skirt the rule by telling a customer the morning-after pill was not on the pharmacies shelves when it actually was.
