More Lack Of Oversight

Except no one dropped the ball here, they just were never given the ball. Someone else took the ball and went home.

(UPI) -- The White House Security Office regularly ignored reports about the mishandling of classified information, including those involving the most secret kind of intelligence of all, "Sensitive Compartmentalized Information," or SCI. One such report involved "leaving SCI materials unattended in a hotel room."

-- In a break from previous practice, staff at the security office were banned from conducting unannounced inspections of West Wing offices, where the president's closest advisors work. The White House also barred the administration's own secrecy watchdog, the Information Security Oversight Office, from inspecting West Wing facilities and procedures for storing classified documents.
