Will Barry Break Hank's Record?

And if so, will it really matter?

I was probably one of the last people to finally give in to the idea that Barry Bonds really is a test tube for performance enhancing drugs. And it's a shame because he was already one of the greats of his era before turning himself in to Ivan Drago. In 1990 when Barry first entered the 30/30 club(40/40 during the juiced era) with 33 hr's and 52 sb's, there was no question he was one of the greats. Not to mention his play in the outfield was gold glove quality(8 in 9 years). But thanks to the likes of Mark McGwire and my once favorite Cub, Sammy Sosa, 30/30 was average. So, if I may steal a line from Stars Wars, Begin the Clone Wars.

So with Barry approaching Hank Aaron's record of 755 hr's, will anyone look at Barry as the homerun king? Should he break the record, does he get an asterisk next to his name? Or will the whore known as Bud Selig and the MLB turn this into a $$$ maker and sell there soul to the devil again? My guess is their soul is on eBay right now!
