Did Cisco Lose iPhone Trademark Rights?

Apparently a filing error, and a small problem of having no product called iPhone, has put doubt into whether Cisco really has the rights to iPhone. After all, all they really did was throw a label on an existing product and called it an iPhone. They had no intention of releasing an iPhone until Apple approached them and rumors broke about an order for 12 million phones from Apple. It is almost pitiful how Cisco is trying to blackmail sue, Apple into giving them money and press coverage.
