Florida Or Michigan?
UPDATE: (2)Florida v (1)Ohio State on January 8, 2007
Let the debates begin. Should Florida, now that they won the SEC and USC has fallen, face Ohio State in the BCS championship? Or are we going to see a rematch with Michigan? I think the answer is easier than people are making it. IMHO, the answer is Florida. And here are the reasons why I believe that.
First: Florida finished first in what most people believe is the toughest conference in college football, the SEC. Michigan finished second in the Big 10, albeit to OSU.
Second: Florida had the toughest schedule in the country.
Third: Michigan already had their chance at OSU, and while it was a great game, they lost.
Fourth: Florida played 4 top 25 teams and Michigan played 3.
For the record, I am a Notre Dame fan, so frankly, I don't really care who plays who. Besides, OSU should beat either team they face. What this will do, regardless of who plays OSU, will prove once again that a playoff system is needed in college football.
