VFW Endorses Roskam Over Duckworth

So much for "Honoring the dead by helping the living". Apparently if Lt. Col. Duckworth had lost her life, then they might support her, instead they have decided to support a civilian over one of their own. Former Sen Bob Kerrey had a thought about it.

The endorsement of GOP state Sen. Peter Roskam over Tammy Duckworth angered some Illinois veterans and national figures, including former Sen. Bob Kerrey, a veteran who lost a leg in Vietnam.

"They should be ashamed of themselves," he said. "They have some explaining to do to their members."

Just like the right did to McCain in 2000 and Kerry in 2004, they oppose those who serve while supporting those who don't, and then tell you they are for the troops.
