This Is Just Baffling

Just now on Hardball (and when the transcripts are available I will link) Chris Matthews asked Ken Mehlman, Chairman of the RNC, he if backed the Republican nominee in CT or Joe Lieberman. His response, "We'll let the Republicans of CT decide who they want to vote for". You got to be kidding me.
