BP Oil Field Could Be Down For Months

BP has said that the process of fixing the corroded pipeline could takes weeks to months to replace 73% of the pipeline. Because of this and existing problems, oil prices are up over $2 a barrel in trading on Monday. The Energy Department has also said it will be in contact with BP and will decide if and when to tap into the SPR. Hate to sound like a broken record, but when will companies and our government get serious about alternative fuels?
