5 Years Later, And....

It's yellow!?! No it's orange!?! But only if you are in New York. However, if you fly from Britain to Chicago you're red, orange and yellow. You're one bad mutha - shut your mouth! But do these colors really mean anything anymore? How are we supposed to feel under a yellow alert? And what will change when it goes to orange? Are people actually walking around saying, "It's only yellow, I don't care about safety. But if it were orange or red...????"

(AP)Red is the worst-case scenario, warning of a severe risk of terrorist attacks. So why are U.S.-bound planes allowed to fly from London under a red advisory?

That can be confusing for travelers, according to John Rollins, former chief of staff in the Homeland Security Department's intelligence analysis unit.

Once anything gets to red, he said, U.S. officials should "pretty much shut down that activity."
Maybe it's just me, but I am starting to see a pattern. Even numbered year, alerts change. Odd numbered year status quo. Could it be coincidence or intentional?
