Ethiopian Troops Enter Somalia

Witnesses have said that Ethiopian troops have entered Somalia. Islamic militants are trying to overthrow the newly formed Somalian government. And this isn't the first time that Ethiopia has had to do this.
(AP)The Supreme Islamic Courts Council militia seized Mogadishu last month and installed strict religious courts, sparking fears it was a Taliban-style regime. The United States has accused the militia of links to al-Qaida that include sheltering suspects in the deadly 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. In return, the Islamic militants in Somalia have vowed a holy war with Ethiopia.
(Reuters)"The risk of full scale war increases by the day," said John Prendergast, of the International Crisis Group think-tank.Remember two months ago when a U.S. official who was in Somalia was re-assigned after speaking up on the handling of the warlords? Well apparently he was right and Bush and his advisors were wrong, again!
Islamists took the capital Mogadishu from U.S.-backed warlords last month and are threatening the authority of a transitional administration formed in Kenya in 2004 and intended to steer the nation from anarchy to peace.
