Boxers Need To Wake Up

Tonight is Mosley/Vargs II, and while I am hoping Mosley wins, I am a little confused by him and his promotional team, Golden Boy Promotions. Recently the boxing commission decided to let fighters use Gatorade and other sports drinks, something every other sport has been using for years. So how could there be a issue with this?
(FOX Sports)"You have that sports drink in the corner, it spills all over the fighter or it gets on the gloves. It's sticky, it can get in the opponent's eyes," De La Hoya said. "It actually makes it dangerous because Gatorade actually gives you energy and it enhances your performance."I can understand the part of it getting on your gloves, but how stupid do they sound when they say "Gatorade actually gives you energy". Dah! That is why you see the NFL, NBA, MLB and every other major sport use it. If water did a better job, they would all still be drinking water.
"(It will) give you a little bit of extra kick," said Vargas, who has been using the sports drink while training for his rematch with Mosley, who stopped him in the 10th round in February.
Mosley/Vargas Update: The fight was stopped in the sixth round after Mosley knocked down Vargas. Vargas got up at eight, but never regained and Mosley jumped on him and the ref stopped the fight. This knockout has put a Mosley/Mayweahter Jr. fight. Possibly November if Mosley thinks he can be ready, or Apr/May 07. I can't wait.
