Civil Liberty Groups Weigh In On AT&T's New Policy

A day after AT&T's new customer policy was announced, the ACLU among other civil liberty groups are having their say.

(Reuters) - Privacy advocates slammed AT&T Inc. on Thursday for declaring that it owned its Internet and video customers' account information and could hand the data over to law enforcement if needed.
And it's not only your phone and internet records
"My understanding is that they will be monitoring television viewing habits, and that it's a condition of service that customers can't opt out of," said Paul Stephens, policy analyst at Privacy Rights Clearinghouse.

"It's frightening," he said.

...the American Civil Liberties Union said AT&T was trying to give itself license to do what it wants with client data
This is just insane. Yet somehow the governments of the world who spy on their citizens are the evil ones, and ours is trying to protect us.

Just in case someone forgot what the definition of fascism is:
NOUN: 1. often Fascism a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism. b. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government. 2. Oppressive, dictatorial control.
If it looks like shit, smells like shit and feels like shit........While some might not like hearing it, that is what we have today.
