Tommy Franks Replaces Katherine Harris?

With the complete implosion of Katherine Harris's campaign....

(Palm Beach Post)"Things are changing right now, so it's up in the air," said Jenna Lihvarcik, who put a reporter on hold for several minutes before she could say that her title was communications assistant.

Lihvarcik said questions were being e-mailed to Harris and that "somebody" would respond. She said she didn't know who or when.

Harris, a Republican from Longboat Key, near Sarasota, who is running against Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., could not be reached for comment.

.....it appears that the GOP is trying to get Ret Gen Tommy Franks to take her place.

"It looks like the campaign is imploding," said David E. Johnson, an Atlanta-based Republican pollster and strategist not affiliated with Harris' campaign. "It gives all the indications of a campaign that is in its final stages."

Johnson said he believes Republicans are intensifying efforts to recruit retired Gen. Tommy Franks to run for the GOP nomination. Franks could not be reached for comment.
