All In Time For 2008 Elections

You knew this was going to happen, and just in time for the 2008 Presidential election. Iraqi National Security Advisor Mowaffak al-Rubaie has said that he expects the American troops to be out in two years.

(Reuters)"We have a roadmap, a condition-based agreement where, by the end of this year, the number of coalition forces will probably be less than 100,000," he told Reuters in an interview.

"By the end of next year the overwhelming majority of coalition forces would have left the country and probably by the middle of 2008 there will be no foreign soldiers in the country."
One can only suspect he is saying what we want him to say but can't say ourselves because that would be setting a date and aiding the evil doers. Do you really think that this Administration would let Mowaffak al-Rubaie freelance with his words like this?
