No Change In Bush's Remarks
I think I am starting to grasp this better everyday. I keep wondering to myself why Bush would continue to make speeches on Iraq that do nothing to improve his ratings. Then today,
CLEVELAND (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Monday he understands that unrelenting violence in Iraq has shaken Americans' confidence but pledged the United States will not abandon the country as the fourth post-invasion year begins.Maybe it isn't the violence and bloodshed that has Americans overwhelmingly against this war. Maybe it's because we have no faith in you Mr. President, or anyone in this Administration to win this war. From day one Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld have mismanaged almost everything about this war from the reason to invade, lack of real coalition, amount of troops needed, what would be the response of the Iraqi's, the relationships of the Shia's and Sunni's, all the way down to how to provide Iraqi's with the basics(water, electricity, food, and fuel).
"The situation on the ground remains tense. In the face of continued reports about killings and reprisals, I understand how some Americans have had their confidence shaken," Bush said. "They wonder what I see that they don't."The reason that we don't all see what you do Mr. President, is that we are able to read and write. We are able to logically go from point a to point b on our own. I know the Republican Party would rather the Country be a bunch of simple thinking people who just nod in agreement with everything you say and follow you like lemmings. If that is what you are looking for, go run for President of Belarus, where that kind of politics still thrives.
And still only a few Deomcrats come to Feingold's side on the censure.
P.S. WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADDEN?
