Illinois School District Lifts Censor
After censoring and refusing to print the Voice, a student newspaper at Huntley H.S., the school district has decided to print it.
(Chicago Tribune)The Huntley District 158 school board voted today to allow the distribution of a student newspaper that was censored last week because it had an editorial critical of a school board member.
After a packed meeting lasting 90 minutes this morning, board President Michael Skala publicly apologized to student journalists at Huntley High School "for the delay of distribution of the newspaper."
