Bush Still Thinks He Knows What To Do

It is hard to believe that President Bush can continue to go and make speeches telling Americans to just follow him, and that he knows how to make Iraq work. When everyone was gushing over Bush because he stayed the course and didn't waiver, apparently they didn't take the time to see what course he was on. Why should someone be complemented for staying the course when it is apparently the wrong course? I know it fit in well with the Rights flip-flop agenda they were painting Kerry with, but C'mon. There are many leaders who stayed the course and were able to win or overcome the issue of the day, however you could also say that Hitler stayed the course. While I am not calling anyone or comparing anyone to Hitler, it is wise to realize that just staying the course alone is not a winning strategy. Nor is making the types of comments Bush has made today:

President Bush - “The Iraqi people made their choice. They looked into the abyss and did not like what they saw,” he said. “By their response over the last two weeks, Iraqis have shown the world they want a future of freedom and peace and they will oppose a violent minority.”

Mr. President, maybe they are referring to your military occupation that hasn't freed, secured, or made life better for the Iraqis. Nor has it turned up any WMD's.
