Ban On Internet Gambling

Today a House committee approved a bill that would essentially put an end to online gambling. What I find funny is the NFL and MLB are on board with this....

(Reuters)Major professional sports organizations supported the legislation, including the National Football League and Major League Baseball, saying in a joint statement that sports betting "threatens the integrity of our respective sports."

....if it wasn't for gambling, the NFL wouldn't be close to what it is today. Also, this bill still allows some online gambling. So.....why one and not the other?
